Artist Kusha Petts (on the left) with her painting of The Tywi Valley in Winter
Mrs Petts was commissioned by the Friends to paint a view of the valley as a memorial to Dr Margaret Evans, a founder member.
Chairman Jill Davies hands over the atmospheric view of a tributary of the Tywi with Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton's Tower in the background to Senior Museums Officer Ann Dorsett.
The ceremony took place in the Inner Hall of the museum, originally the cloisters of the medieval college. Behind are two of the museum's fine collection of Welsh dressers.
